West Somerset College Community Sports and Leisure Centre is a dual based sports centre within the West Somerset Community College. The Sports Centre includes: Sports Hall; Astro Pitch with flood lights; 4 Squash Courts; Activity Hall; Fitness Suite; Football Pitches and Outdoor Tennis Courts.
It also hosts each evening a range of different activities including: Spinning; Step; Pilates; Circuits; Basketball; Football; Squash; Tennis; Table Tennis; Judo and Tae kwon do. Loads of range for plenty of differing interests and energy levels: your new hobby starts here!
Plus, during the summer holidays they also offer an additional youth oriented Outdoor Adventure Programme for 8 to 18s which features Bushcraft and campfire cooking, Climbing Commando challenge day, Mountain biking over the Quantocks, Paintball and Survival skills plus Raft and Den Building! Kids can go for half a day, whole day or for a whole week.
There's also the Active Kidz Holiday Playscheme to consider if you struggle to get time off work, they can stay all day (or half day) and do Team Sports, Multi-skills Sessions, Swimming, Racquet Sports, Trampolining, Football, Tennis, Gymnastics and Arts n Crafts stuff!
Kids with disabilities and learning difficulties can also join in by accessing one of their Hullabaloo Short Breaks where there are custom tailored activities with experienced and supportive guides on hand to assist with every step of the adventure. Some of the activity days are held in differing locations and will be discussed at time of booking, but the Hullabaloo is always held in the woodland and gardens at Hestercombe.
