About Wimbleball Lake

Wimbleball Lake, Exmoor offers a variety of activities both on and off the water for all abilities. There's plenty to do at this scenic lake, including miles of walks, cycle trails, a children's play area, and a popular cafe.

Activity Centre The Activity Centre offers a variety of watersports including sailing, eFoiling, windsurfing, kayaking and canoeing. You can hire our equipment, launch your own, take part in taster sessions or gain RYA qualifications. The possibilities are practically endless!

From high ropes and climbing to archery, sailing, kayaking and so much more! For those who prefer to stay dry, why not face your fears and swing like a monkey from the treetops on our 40-foot-tall course. Tackle challenges and obstacles raised high above the ground in an adrenaline-filled activity quest led by fully qualified instructors. There's also an indoor climbing wall and archery range.

The spectacular Wimbleball Lake, nestled among the rolling hills of Exmoor National Park, is an unforgettable location for your next family day out. Explore the lake on foot or by bike, enjoy a treat from the cafe and drink in the views! Our maintained and accessible paths are suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, and we also have a Tramper mobility scooter available to hire. Dogs on leads are welcome.

Get on the water

Hire our watersports equipment, launch your own or join an instructor-led session to learn something new! Choose between kayaking, paddleboarding, canoing, eFoiling, rowing, sailing and our mega SUP.

Fun on dry land

Enjoy an aerial adventure on the high ropes course, hit the bullseye on our archery range or fly fish for rainbow trout.
