There's lots of fun things to get involved in at Dunster Castle and Watermill during the school holidays.
May Half Term Trail
Join us for our May Half Term trail from 25 May until 2 June. Step into the past and prepare for a great feast in the 1400s. Help find out more about the food and festivities needed for the big event (£3 per trail, normal admission applies).
Summer Trail
One of the young Pages has been cleaning the Knight's shields, but on returning to the castle has realised his sack had a large hole in it! Join us from 20 July until 1 September and help the knights of Dunster Castle find their shields which have been lost around the groups.
(£3 per trail, normal admission applies).
Things to do
Discover the castle which became a lavish country home during the 19th century for the Luttrell family, who lived here for 600 years. See the double overshot wheels in action and the water supplied by the leat from the observation platform. Explore the garden areas known for its diversity of plants and let off steam in the rustic play area in the River garden.
Food & Drink
There are several refreshment outlets, with family-friendly options and indoor and outdoor seating. Hot food is available from 12 noon until 2:30pm. There is a picnic area and benches around the garden.
