Attraction Information

Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway is probably the best and most exciting, way to travel between the historic and picturesque towns of Lynton and Lynmouth. The whole family will love the thrilling vertical journey from Lynmouth, nestled at the foot of the cliffs, to Lynmouth, which is perched 500 feet (152m) above!

Enjoy stunning views of the North Devon coastline as you glide along the track of this extremely environmentally friendly tourist attraction, which requires absolutely no power to operate. The lifts do not create any emissions either, and their carbon footprint has not noticeably changed since it was opened in 1890!

You can even bring the family pooch along for the ride, provided they are kept on the lead and away from the open platform.

It is also worth checking online through our lovely link before you visit as a number of seasonal events are held throughout the year, and there a some Fun Pages that are free to download and will amuse the kids. Don't forget your camera!
