Attraction Information
Nice weather? Make the most of the sunshine - bag your sun lotion, put on your bikini and head out to find a real fossil at Kilve Beach near Bristol.
This rocky stretch of the coastline is filled with historical wonders. You can see plenty of real fossil still lodged in the cliffs along the beach. Don't try to take any home though! Kilve is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, so it's forbidden to remove the fossils.
A lazy day at the beach is a firm family favourite - just unwind and enjoy the sun to the sound of kids playing and waves washing on the shore with a quiet “Woosh”. Even though Kilve Beach isn't very sandy, there're some nice patches of grass just behind the beach where you can set up a lovely picnic with awesome views of the water.
