Penistone Paramount

Penistone Paramount is a vintage old style performance cinema with traditional intermission and concessions, offering film, live theatre and organ recital performances in a varying showcase, which includes a great deal suited to children and families.

The single screen auditorium can seat 350 people, and there is a large stage behind the screen, from which they present their live events. The auditorium also includes a stalls area, and a balcony circle. It is home to one of the few working theatre organs in the UK (the Compton Theatre organ), which is also the only one of its kind in the country!

Penistone Paramount shows a great mix of different entertainment, suitable for all ages, that offers a day out with a difference, plus some old world charm. It has a fully licenced bar serving a selection of drinks, including coffee and gold old Yorkshire tea, all of which can be taken into the auditorium.
