Wentworth Garden Centre
Wentworth, CambridgeshireAbout Wentworth Garden Centre
Wentworth Garden Centre is a beautiful garden centre that has been a family run business since 1976! It's situated within a stunning, timeless 18th-century rural estate village, that features many different gardens, like the Rock garden, Italian garden and Sunken garden, as well as the Millennium Maze, Woodland Walk, Deer Paddock, Wisteria Arch and Maze Platform. So, it's a perfect day out for the family! This family-owned garden centre occupied the previous site of the great former kitchen garden of Wentworth Woodhouse. The kitchen used to provide an abundance of fresh fruit, herb gardens, vegetables and cut flowers that are used to decorate the house. The glorious gardens now have been brought back to life after a period of overgrowth and are now as beautiful as ever! There is also more to discover like the bear pit, fallow deer, maze, rock and Italianate gardens, ponds, pools, fountains and plenty more! Being a home to various wildlife, the gardens are teeming with birds, mammals, insects, amphibians and of course, plant life. But that's not all, there's also the brand new Family Farm! Where you can play, learn and explore, with entertainment for all ages. You can feed Larry the llama, have a go on the mini-tractor derby or have a splashing time in the sand and water play area! Meet the farm animals, like llamas, alpacas, pigs, ponies, sheep, goats, foxes, meerkats, peacocks, lots of birds and more! With an interactive water play area, your kids can dig and pump and divert water around a water system. Fun and educational all in one! At Wentworth Garden Centre, your kids are also treated to a Playdale adventure playground! Overlooked by the Walled Garden restaurant terrace, parents can keep an eye out as their kiddies have a play about. And when you've finished having the best day out, head to the Walled Garden coffee shop and restaurant for some delicious meals, that are all freshly prepared for you, with locally sourced ingredients. There's Pie Wednesday, Fish Friday and of course a Sunday Lunch. Scrumptious, hot food, in a scenic environment. And you stop for a spot of tea and a moreish afternoon tea, with a selection of freshly made sandwiches, home-baked goods, mouthwatering patisserie treats and more. Oh so yummy!
