At Hillsborough Leisure Centre in Sheffield there is a range of facilities for everyone to enjoy and use. Everyone Active prides themselves on running leisure centres that cater for everyone, of all ages and fitness level, and Hillsborough Leisure Centre is no exception with a timetable of activities that are fun and sporty to engage everyone.
Gym & Fitness
If you come for some fitness, you can buy an Everyone Active fitness membership and join the gym. The Hillsborough Leisure Centre gym has an impressive range of cardio equipment including treadmills, bikes, cross-trainers and rowers. They also have a resistance kit and free-weights section with dumbells and benches, as well as kinesis stations and Power Plates.
There are also two dedicated group exercise studios that offer a packed programme of classes designed to suit everyone regardless of age or fitness level. These include a suite of ever-popular Les Mills sessions, as well as bespoke Everyone Active-developed classes designed for those who want something intense, as well as those who want a more relaxing, chilled-out session.
Sports Hall Your kids can jump into trampolining and gymnastics lessons with Everyone Active at Hillsborough Leisure Centre. There's also a variety of sports on offer, such as badminton, futsal and pickleball. Keep fit, learn a new sport, and have some fun too!

Swimming Pool
Hillsborough Leisure Centre has an exciting Beach Leisure Pool, where you'll be surprised with a leisure pool, baby pool slides and flumes, a pirate ship AND a wave machine! There are family sessions, where you'll have access the water features and water slides! They also host a quieter inclusive session for those who require additional needs.
You can also try the adult swim sessions - take time out for some relaxing swimming at your own pace, without any restrictions on lanes. This session is for adults only and takes place at the deep end of the pool.
You can also attend swimming lessons for kids and adults, as well as aqua fitness classes! So, the swimming pool is perfect for everyone, whether you chill in the shallow water, turn up for specific session times, or during the school holidays for some splashtastic, family fun!
Swimming Lessons
Lessons start for children as young as 4 months old and are available for all ages, with students working towards badges and certificates, collecting them at each stage. The swim teachers are all Swim England (or equivalent) qualified.
Running for 50 weeks of the year you can join Everyone Active's swimming lessons at any time! Choose from private one-to-one lessons, adult lessons, adult and child lessons or junior lessons.

• Lessons are available up to 50 weeks of the year and up to 7 days a week, with a break over the Christmas period at most centres.
• Lessons available for students from 4 months old.
• Students are assessed regularly and moved up as soon as they are ready for the next stage.

Splashing fun!
Hillsborough Leisure Centre has two great swimming pools to try out - the 20m leisure pool and a 20m teaching pool.
There's fun for all the family in the leisure pool, which features fantastic water slides, a pirate ship for all the budding bucaneers, and a wave machine for some added excitement!
Swimming lessons from 4 months old
Hillsborough Leisure Centre's 20m teaching pool plays host to traditional lane swimming and swimming lessons. Everyone Active's award-winning swimming lessons are a great way to introduce babies as young as 4 months to the pool and build their confidence in the water, while the lessons for school-age kids work through the Swim England stages with badges to be awarded.
Try your hand at a variety of sports!
Hillsborough Leisure Centre’s sports hall has been divided into two sides, with different activities available in each area, so there's something for everyone. On one side you can enjoy gymnastics and trampolining, while on the other, there’s a variety of sports on offer. These include badminton, futsal, pickleball and so much more!
