Established in 1987, we're now one of the largest independent outdoor activity centres in the UK - and families love us! Open from May half term through to the end of summer, Mendip Basecamp is our award-winning family campsite, which received a Silver Award at the 2025 VisitEngland Tourism Awards. Set in the beautiful Mendip Hills near Bristol, Bath and Weston-super-Mare, Basecamp blends adventure with comfort. Camp in your own tent or camper, or choose a glamphouse, bunk tent or bell tent for easy, off-grid camping, with fire pits, hot showers and flushing toilets.
Basecamp is an adventure hotspot, offering a wide range of free and paid activities including rock climbing, kayaking, tobogganing and circus skills.
