This summer, Weston Museum proudly presents Axel Scheffler: A Life in Illustration, a comprehensive exhibition celebrating the work of the UK’s number one bestselling illustrator, Axel Scheffler. Known for creating beloved characters like the Gruffalo and Stick Man, Axel’s illustrations have captivated children and adults alike.
This exhibition has been created in partnership with Events of Wonder, with support from Macmillan Children’s Books and Scholastic Children’s Books.

Our William Mable Gallery on the ground floor changes 3 - 4 times a year, predominately having a family-friendly approach and appeal. With previous family-friendly exhibitions, we often have lots of interactives and activities, and reading corners.

Clara's Cafe offers a range of food and drink options, including most dietary requirements. Ranging from sandwiches and toasted sandwiches, to jacket potatoes and light snacks such as cakes, crisps and more!
Drinks on offer include the traditional soft drinks such as coke, diet coke and lemonade, but also a range of flavoured waters, locally produced still lemonades, and hot drinks.

Cycling - There is one bike rack outside the Museum.
Train - The train station is a 10 minute walk from the Museum. Cross the road so the Tesco is behind you. Head down Alfred Street which is almost opposite Tesco, then take a left onto Burlington Street and you’ll see the Museum.
Bus - There are buses that serve the local area, we recommend visiting their websites for more accurate information on timings.
