Attraction Information
The Helicopter Museum is the largest dedicated Rotorcraft Collection in the world - with around 80 displayed Helicopters and Gyrocopters. The collection includes two aircraft of the Queen's Royal Flight, the World Speed Record Holder G-Lynx and the Vietnam Veteran Helicopters.
Take to the skies and discover the wonder of flight with activities including the Film Theatre, Interactive Zone and real helicopter play area!
The open cockpit days give kids the rare opportunity to sit in the pilot's seat of the helicopters and have the controls explained to them. They also offer experience flights throughout the year.
The collection of over 80 helicopters is housed in an aviation hangar making it an attraction great in all weathers.
Annual Events include Drone Show, Flight Simulator Convention, WWII Living History Day, Stars of Time Sci-Fi Show, Spotters' Weekends, 'Birds and Bubbles' plus Halloween and Christmas Family Fun Days, Classic Bus Rally and Battle Re-enactments! Visit the website for a full list.
