Attraction Information
BHS approved Lochhill Equestrian Centre was established is set in beautiful countryside and offers a wide range of equestrian services for all abilities and from age 5 years and upwards. Lochhill is fully licensed and insured and offers riding lessons either on a one to one basis or within a group, where friendly, qualified staff will carry out their initial assessment of your riding ability (even if that's zero!) before planning the best lesson for you!
As well as all that countryside they have a large, floodlit outdoor arena enabling them to provide lessons throughout the darker winter months and a smaller indoor school for those days when the great British weather really is going for it! If you've got the weather however then their fully qualified and experienced staff can lead you and the family on some super off road trails through the local countryside, including forestry and open farmland. They have a wide variety of horses and ponies to suit all levels of experience and ability and tailor the treks and hacks to the riders.
They also offer a loan-a-pony scheme for pony-mad children to enjoy a full morning or afternoon session covering every aspects of equine care, including mucking out, cleaning tack and grooming - plus of course well a riding lesson and a trek. If they really take to that then they also offer a longer term loan scheme which is a wonderful stepping-stone before purchasing your own pony...
