Attraction Information
Monreith Animal Park has animals for all tastes from the cute and cuddly to the big and ugly!
Their range of pleasingly recognisable animals include Otters, Owls, Alpacas, Donkeys, Waterfowl, Shetland Ponies, Poultry, Pigs, Belted Galloway Cattle, Degus, Persian Jirds, Foreign Finches, Peacocks and many Aviary Birds too! There are also Rabbits, chicks and Guinea Pigs which can often be handled. Great photo opportunity!
Set in twelve acres of scenic countryside, the animals are placed in a circular route around the park so you can't even miss an exhibit if you try, taking in a peaceful pondside walk as well saturated with mini beasts. There are seats and picnic tables along the route, along with toilet stops, so even with kids in potty training this is a relaxing place to take them.
All children under 10 years must be accompanied by an adult, though they can't imagine why you'd send them alone, because it's fun for you too! There is partial wheelchair access and on-site parking so you're good for pushcahirs too but it's best to have another grownup along to assist for full access if that's an option.
Be careful with your satnav on this one, they've heard it might be misleading, so use a map to finish.

Reviews
Very poor 1 out of 5 stars
We took the kids yesterday and where very dissappointed we where charged £16 and i really have no clue what for! It took us a total of 10 minutes to walk round the entire place. Animal world is a total exaggeration 2 horses 2 donkeys 4 alpacas and some birds. Really not worth the money we wont be returning or recommending.
