Looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life for a day? Get the kids out for a wonderful nature experience at WWT Caerlaverock Wetland Centre. Wander along spectacular walks in the wetlands and do some wildlife watching. Spot butterflies, dragonflies, plus lots and lots of birds!
Amateur bird watchers of all ages will have a blast at the reserve. Armed with binoculars in hand, little explorers can spot swans, geese, owls and many other wild feathery friends. With fantastic viewing platforms and secret hideouts found around the site, you’ll get the chance to get as close to the birds as possible. Walk around the Peter Scott Trail and you’ll find a wild birds feeding station where you can sit and watch smaller garden birds flutter around the different bird feeders.
No matter what season you pick for your visit, you’ll have lots of fun things to do - from pond dipping in the summer, to watching the swans being fed in winter.
