Attraction Information
Lockerbie Ice Rink is a great venue for families who want activities that are fun, and that can also be competitive or simply a pleasurable way of keeping fit.
Curling is a traditional and tactical Scottish game played by 2 teams of 4 people that offers people of all ages an interesting way to keep active and have fun. There are plenty of opportunities for budding little curlers to learn and improve their game, with Mini Rockers for 6 to 8 year olds, After School Club for kids aged 9 to 11 years old, Secondary School Curlers for 12 to 16 year old, plus Lockerbie Young Curlers Club for ages 11 to 21 years old. Wheelchair curling is also available.
You can skate for family fun and enjoyment at public skating sessions with ice discos, or you can learn the skills of figure skating with one of the friendly and fully qualified coaches. Public skating is available most weekends, although Saturday mornings are reserved for under 16s only.
