About Go Ape Whinlatter

Looking for an unforgettable, action-packed day out in the Lake District? Take a trip to England's only true Mountain Forest with Go Ape Whinlatter Forest Park. Which luckily enough, is also home to two epic Go Ape high-ropes adventure 1000ft above sea level!

The best Go Ape adventure for for thrill seekers has to be the ultimate zip line experience where you can enjoy spectacular Cumbrian views, tree-top adventures and more family fun!

Fun Activities For Thrill Seekers

After a safety briefing, where you can physically practise how to move along on the continuous belay from treetop to treetop, you can let your little ones go wild! They can embark on their Go Ape Adventure and clamber into the tops of the trees before zipping back down to earth. Treetop Adventure is the first rung on the Go Ape ladder and gives thrill-seekers access to three loops of sky-high, wobbly bridges and intricate tree crossings all ending with an 80m+ forest zipline.

Two-Wheeled Adventure

Climb aboard Go Ape's heavy duty all-terrain Segways, for an hour of unrivalled Cumbrian views.

Exclusive trails will take you to incredible vantage points where you can soak up the sights from Skiddaw to Helvellyn.

Probably the most scenic Segway Safari and still fun if enveloped in cloud!

Sky High Adventures

Treetop Adventure Plus is all about the 'more'. More speed, air, freedom, height, and thrills for young adventurers.

It's a step up and extension to the popular Treetop Adventure high ropes course, so children need to be at least 1.2m to participate. Participants will have full access to the Adventure loops of the course to find their feet, hone their skills and have fun. When they feel ready, it's time to hit the heights of Adventure Plus and the additional loop.

The extra loop goes further into the treetops, with more challenging crossings. This turns up the adventure and the fun, finishing with their biggest zip-wire ride of the day back to the ground.

This is one of the most challenging Treetop Adventure Plus courses that Go Ape has to offer. It is significantly higher than other courses, and there are a number of more challenging obstacles. Younger children may find it difficult, even if they have completed Treetop Adventure Plus at another location.

Take the leap and book their Lake District adventure today at Go Ape Whinlatter.

Lake District Adventures

Not only is Go Ape a fantastic and thrilling adventure, but the Lake District is simply beautiful and worth exploring! It's the perfect place for hiking and taking the dogs out for a walk!
