Scotland's Highest Zip Line

You heard that right! If you like to experience exhilarating activities, then we would suggest zooming down Scotland's highest zip line at Go Ape Glentress Forest, Peebles! Not only will your heart be racing with adrenaline, but you'll be treated with the most spectacular views from 160ft in the air!

High-Wire Adventures

There's not one, but TWO zip lines that you can whizz down. One full of energy, and one that's more of cruise back down to the ground. Whichever zip line you try, know that Go Ape is FULL of high-wired adventures, from wobbly bridges and treetop crossings to the zip lines!

Did you know it's a 325-metre-long zip wire across the valley? That's a whopping 160ft high adventure!

Make A Day Of It

There are so many outdoor activities to do in Peebels! The Tweed Valley has award-winning bike trails and there are lots of hiking trails and places for a well-earned picnic after tackling Go Ape.

Local businesses offer incredible canoe trips down the River Tweed.

Peebles has plenty of local pubs and cafes, likewise Innerleithen with a bike path that follows the Tweed river linking Peebles, Glentress and Innerleithen.

It also has some great parks and river walks for kids too.

Transport Information

By Car:

You can get to Peebles using the A72 or the A703 from Edinburgh.

By Bus:

The 62 and 62a buses from Edinburgh to Galashiels both stop right outside the Glentress entrance.

Ask for “Glentress” rather than “Peebles”. The driver is more likely to drop you outside the site, rather than in Peebles. The stop is not in Peebles itself but three miles east of Peebles. The course is approx 500m up a gentle hill, following the forest road from the bus stop.
