Murrayfield Ice Rink

Murrayfield Ice Rink has been Edinburgh's home of ice since the 1950s, and it remains one of Scotland's most beloved family destinations. Housed in a stunning Category B listed Art Deco building next to Murrayfield Stadium, the rink draws over 200,000 visitors a year to its full Olympic-size ice pad, measuring 61 metres by 29.5 metres.

Whether your little ones are lacing up skates for the very first time or your teenagers are already eyeing the ice hockey team, there is something here for every member of the family. Public skating sessions run seven days a week, so you can simply turn up, hire skates, and get gliding. For those who want to build real confidence on the ice, the Learn to Skate programme offers four-week courses led by qualified coaches, open to children and adults from age five upwards.
