Head out to Dalkeith Country Park for an action-packed adventure at the magical Fort Douglas. Featuring all sorts of exciting things to explore such as secret tunnels, huge treehouses, zip wires and a Sky Maze with an “invisible” floor - this awesome play area will prove to be a day to remember for both you and your tiny knights and princesses. You just can’t go to Fort Douglas and not explore the beautiful Dalkeith Country Park. There are lots of waymarked walking and cycling trails, which will take you through the ancient woodlands and along the river. It's the perfect occasion to go nature spotting with your little animal lovers!
Dalkeith Country Park is located only a few miles from Edinburgh city centre, so you can so you can drive there in 20-30 minutes. Plus, if you fancy a drink, a bite to eat, or a bit of shopping, the park is also home to Restoration Yard Store, Restaurant, Coffee Bar and Wellbeing Lab.
