Biggar Puppet Theatre, also known as 4 Purves World of Puppets is a fantastic puppet theatre with shows to suit all ages and a packed programme to suit all tastes. There are a great choice of performance times and extra holiday events and playschemes. A lovely day out for little ones and older children alike!
The puppet shows have been running for over 43 years and are an important part of Scottish theatre. There is a great programme of family shows, which are suitable for kids aged 5 and older, plus the ‘Pips and Panda' shows, which are designed for kids aged 7 years and older.
Whichever you choose, you and the kids will have a great time from the moment you walk into this amazing place full of puppets to examine. You will be led to your own table, which is yours for the duration of the show, plus there are snacks (including ice cream!), which are available during the interval.
Two hour puppet workshops are also available, where kids can learn how to make glow in the dark puppets and to perform their own production, all materials are provided. Birthday parties are also offered and include a performance, plus a finger puppet for each child!
