Attraction Information
Pretty little Wilton Lodge Park offers public access to putting, crazy golf, bowling, croquet and tennis, plus formal facilities rugby, tennis and football are available to hire too.
Its certainly one of the most picturesque town parks in the area with its tree lined walks, river, waterfall, formal gardens, glass house and walled gardens. Once into Spring there are explosions of daffodils, narcissi and aromatic flowering trees, then in Autumn the gold and russet scatterings of the trees are great for scrunching through in your wellies!
There are several marked nature walks throughout the park but plenty of bisecting paths (some especially hie ones along the River Teviot) mean you can just follow your feet and see what you find without fear of getting lost. On your perambulations you may well encounter the museum, which is worth dipping into for the local art work and historical exhibition.
Other charming features to find include wishing well, an aviary and the scented garden! So allow enough time and you can spend the whole afternoon exploring!

Kelpies? 3 out of 5 stars
Don’t know why they are using a photo of one of the Kelpie statues which is over 60 miles north of Hawick
