Attraction Information
Edinburgh Combat Challenge welcomes warriors over 6 years old to enter the arena: a huge natural style game space outside with landscaping and levels plus deadfalls and loads of trees to hide behind. The game itself is like old fashioned shoot em up play only now you can really tell who's hit whom as the weapons fire infra red laser beams which register on the suit of the enemy. No impact or sensation unless you run into a tree while firing, just a living computer game that's fun, fit and frenzied!
The kids are shown how to use the equipment and dressed up in cammo gear to help them blend into the woods, so you'll have to keep your eyes peeled to be sure of hitting them before they hit you! With a firing range of 200m you really need to stay on your toes!
The gaming scenarios include Last Man Standing (a lone wolf style free for all); Capture The Flag (where you work within teams) and Base Assault (with inclusion of static targets as well as each other); but there are other types available too if you have a group.
It's worth noting if you're packing young ones that there are no loos or refreshments available on site, you can take your own drinks of course, but that doesn't solve the other problem (far from it!) so be sure they go before you leave!
