Attraction Information

Markeaton Park is a family friendly open space with lots going on!

A large free play area is ideal to help blow the cobwebs away and there’s a high ropes course for those who are a little more daring! In the summer months bring your costumes and a picnic to make use of the free paddling pool, which is open from May to September.

Back in the grounds there are lots of seasonal events going on, from funfairs, outdoor cinema, guided walks, family arts, bouncy castles, crazy golf, electric cars and crafts to donkey rides in school holidays. In the autumn enjoy the stunning changing colours of the park around you as you take a relaxing stroll through one of the many 18th and 19th century gardens.

A seasonal treat for all the senses in this beautiful communal space!
