About Megazone Derby
Megazone Derby is the multi-level playing arena in which futuristic laser tag is played by warriors of all ages! There are smoke swirls and spooky music pulsating over 4,000 sq.ft. of labyrinthine maze, as the barren ultra-violet landscape is pierced by super bright green lasers... You are now The Hunted and you've only a laser gun and your wits to aid your survival in this amazing UV landscape!
Deactivate the enemy snipers, depend on your reflexes and keep your nerve through such games as Elimination, Vampires, Base Flags, Infection, Zone Domination and Random Madness your cool looking Nexus Generation FEC pack!
Whilst delightfully dramatic it's also a fun and safe environment for anyone over 6 years, though its worth noting if you've a gung-ho munchkin that younger children can enjoy the game too so long as they have parental accompaniment throughout.
You'll start out getting briefed in a side room on the rules and given some advice on playing, then the marshalls will organise the teams and you'll choose your battle colours! After that you have a quick team meeting to agree tactics in the air lock, before plunging into the darkness ready for battle! You'll pick up a score sheet afterwards which will tell tales on whomever was shooting you!
Megazone is located within Willows Sports Centre, Derby and alongside the laser-tag facility this sports centre also boasts indoor sports pitches for football and 5 a side, cricket or netball. There is a large free car park, plus a bar and lounge area with changing facilities including hot showers.
