Anchors Away Soft Play

Anchors Away is a nautical-themed soft play barn in Cleobury Mortimer, South Shropshire. We offer a safe space for children up to age 12+ with interactive portholes to watch the fish swim by, a ball pit area and helter-skelter slides.

We have a smaller play area for babies & toddlers through to a basketball hoop and astro football pitch for older kids.

There is also a session for SEN children every Sunday between 9 am and 10 am. However, we are fully inclusive and you are welcome any day of the week. If you prefer a quieter time, just give us a call and we can advise when would be best.

Making memories for your children.

We love to host a party here at Anchor’s Away and we guarantee you a day to remember for all of the right reasons. As parents ourselves, we know how important birthday celebrations are to you, your children, and all their loved ones and friends. But, we also know how frantic life can be.

That’s why we’re here to share the load. If you’re looking for a party with a difference, Anchor’s Away is the perfect venue. We can cater for party sizes from 10-60 and for all budgets.

So whether you are looking for an exclusive hire, a fully catered party, or just a small, bespoke party with some light refreshments, we can create the perfect event for you.

Our soft play facilities or just the large space, can be hired 6 nights per week. Weekends 3-5pm or 5-7pm and Weekdays 4-6pm. (With exclusive use, your own buffet food can be brought in or we can cater for you) We politely request that face paint/glitter tattoos are not worn as it is not easily removed from the soft play equipment.

There is a variety of equipment here at Anchors Away, such as a football and basketball court, an under-the-sea themed 3-tier play structure including a wavy slide and a twister slide. There's a rope bridge, ball pit and many other obstacles, encouraging children to slide, crawl, jump and clamber, all the while being safeguarded by the high-quality, gentle materials that compose our play area.

Soft play provides a fantastic opportunity for children of any age to challenge their physical, mental and social skills in a secure and enjoyable setting.

Hot and cold food is served throughout the day in our cafe for visitors of the soft play. In addition to this, we also have a takeaway at the end of our building that serves hot & cold drinks, sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and sweet treats!

Food is served from 9 am and the last food orders are 2 pm.

Only food & drink purchased from Anchors Away Cafe can be consumed on the premises (Allowances are made for weaning babies & children with specific dietary or sensory requirements, this must be brought to a team member’s attention).
