The details...

We’ll set off from The Vine Pub in Kinver. After receiving all the necessary equipment and safety training, you’ll embark on a 90-minute self-guided trip, meandering down this gorgeous stretch of the Kinver Canal. Glide along the tranquil waters and marvel at the stunning natural scenery. The 2.8 km route will take you back to The Vine Pub, where you may cap off your afternoon with flavoursome wood-fired pizza and refreshing drinks, among the greenery of the canalside garden.

This trip is suited to all levels of kayaking experience. If you’re a beginner or you’d like your family to join in, don’t worry; just bring yourself and we’ll take care of the rest.

We're open every weekend from April 1st onwards, as well as on most days during the school holidays. You can make a booking in advance or on the day (subject to availability).

Important details about your trip:

Meeting point: The Vine Inn car park, 1 Dunsley Road, Kinver. We’re located less than an hour's drive from Birmingham. We’re also easily accessible via public transport such as trains and buses.

Finish point: The Vine Inn car park, Kinver (2.8 km round trip)

Kayak Hire time: Kayak hire on the Kinver canal is 90 minutes – this allows for plenty of time to explore the 2.8km stretch of canal to the first lock and back. We’ll help you with getting on and off the kayak. Time slots are: 11am, 12:45pm and 2.30pm.

Suitable for: Beginners, groups of friends, families with children (ages 5+) We can also organise birthday parties.

Safety and instructions: While this is a self-guided trip, you’ll receive safety training before boarding. The trip is ideal for beginners or intermediates looking for a more laid-back route.

Notes for families with children: Children aged 5 - 9 need to be in a 2 or 3 x seater kayak with an adult (age 18+). Children ages 10+ can be in a solo or 2 x seater kayak without an adult as long as an adult accompanies them on the canal in a separate kayak.

Equipment: You’ll receive kayaks, as well as buoyancy aids, paddles, and dry bags.

Prices: £15 per adult & £12 for under 18's or £20 if you want a kayak to yourself. Plus online booking fee.
