About Alpaca Trekking with Bearhouse Alpacas
Alpaca Trekking With Bearhouse Alpacas is a working alpaca stud farm not far from the seaside resort of Sidmouth. It is situated in the Roncombe Valley which is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As well as alpacas, there are angora goats, horses, ducks and geese, so there is plenty to see on your visit here.
The staff can tell you all about alpacas and their amazing fleece and what they make with it. The wool, socks, bootliners, raw fleece etc can be bought at the farm and online through the link.
In the summer months you will be able to see very young cria (baby alpacas).
Alpaca trekking around the tracks and bridleways near the farm is a great way to spend an hour or two. These beautiful inquisitive animals are a pleasure to handle. The farm is a ten minute drive from Honiton or Sidmouth and there is plenty of parking.
