About Budleigh Salterton Riding School
The BHS approved Budleigh Salterton Riding School offer a choice of over 50 of well mannered mounts for lessons, which are available from around 4 years upwards and held in their two huge all weather menages with full jumping facilities. Pleasingly scenic hacks on the edge of Woodbury Common plus surrounding heathland plus beach hacks (October to May) are available and also terrific cross country rides (accompanied by a guide so not to worry if it's a new experience: you are supported!) subject to necessary terms and conditions. Special events include picnic hacks, beach rides and Own A Pony days for kids who really really really want one. Summer Camps also available to make new friends and build up a variety of equine related skills! Other activities sometimes available here include mock hunts, Easter egg hunts, Christmas Cracker rides, riding shows and gymkhanas. If you're ahead of the game and have your own pony already (we're jealous!) then it's helpful to know that they also offer full service and DIY liveries. There are also Holiday Cottages here if you're looking to base your trip around riding, ideal for active families because there are also fishing, golf and sailing opportunities in the vicinity!
