Attraction Information
A La Ronde is a unique 16 sided house that was built for two spinster cousins when they returned from a grand tour of Europe. It contains many objects acquired on their travels plus mementos of their travels.
The interior decoration includes a frieze made from feathers plus a shell encrusted gallery containing thousands of shells. Kids have the opportunity to dress up plus there are several speaking tubes to try around the building.
This is a real treasure house crammed with bizarre items that have been collected over the years. Take a look in the rare cabinet of curiosities in the library, containing items such as ancient Egyptian artefacts and precious rocks, all of which are family souvenirs.
There are free garden games to play, including croquet and snakes and ladders and a wildflower meadow to walk around allowing you to see the house from different angles. Dogs are welcomed in the meadow!
