Burrow Farm Gardens
Axminster, DevonAbout Burrow Farm Gardens
Burrow Farm Gardens offer almost 10 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens that have been created from scratch over the last 50 years by the owner, Mary Benger. A great place for a peaceful day out with the kids, with lots of wonderful features to enjoy.
There is a fascinating woodland garden created in an ancient Roman clay pit, full of mature Rhododendrons and ancient field Maple, an Azalea Glade, plus a Pergola Walk with a beautiful stone statue in the centre. There is also a lovely Terrace Garden, the Millennium Garden (built in 2000) with a rill leading to a formal pond, and the Anniversary Garden, which was built in 2010 to celebrate 50 years at the Burrow!
You can bring the family pooch along, provided they are kept on the lead and your clear up after them. Most of the garden is wheelchair and pushchair accessible too. There is a Nursery with an interesting selection of plants, a craft shop, and Tea Rooms offering a number of refreshments, including cream teas. Yum!
