Attraction Information
Sat on the banks of the river Thames is Surrey Docks Farm.
This interactive, free to enter and education farm offers a slice of rural life in the middle of the city. Visitors can come and meet the animals in the open farmyard where pigs, sheep, goats, cows, geese, ducks, turkeys and chickens roam. Children are also able to handle, stroke and play with the ferrets, rabbits and guinea pigs that are pets of the farm.
The farm is a registered charity and runs lots of different workshops for the local community, such as Plot to Shop, which provides adults with learning disabilities with the opportunity to practice their gardening skills and The Moo Crew for students who are interested in learning about farm life. The on-site café serves an all-day breakfast and the farm shop sells animal feed, farm produce and children’s toys.
