About Tower Bridge

When you think of London, iconic landmarks like Big Ben, the London Eye, and Buckingham Palace might come to mind. However, one standout destination that promises an unforgettable family day out is Tower Bridge. Known for its majestic architecture and fascinating history, Tower Bridge is not just a crossing over the River Thames; it's an adventure waiting to be explored by families with kids of all ages.

So, go big or go home and visit one of the biggest attractions in London! Hidden in plain sight, the Tower Bridge is one of London's hidden gems. You wouldn't think this active structure is open for visitors, but it is, and it has a fascinating history behind it, too.

Step Onto The Glass Walkway

Get ready for a thrilling adventure as you step onto the Glass Walkway of Tower Bridge! Suspended 42 metres above the River Thames, this see-through floor offers an unforgettable view of the bustling city below!

Imagine the excitement as your kids spot red double-decker buses and boats sailing beneath their feet. Don’t forget to bring your camera - this is the perfect spot for some amazing family photos and maybe even a playful game of “spot the landmark!”

Visit The Tower Bridge Exhibition

Dive into the fascinating history of Tower Bridge with the Tower Bridge Exhibition! This interactive experience is designed to engage both kids and adults with fun displays and hands-on activities. Your family can explore the Victorian Engine Rooms, learn how the bridge was built, and even try their hand at raising the bridge themselves with interactive models.

Admire The Spectacular Bridge Lifts

Witnessing a bridge lift at Tower Bridge is a truly magical experience for the whole family. With more than 850 lifts a year, there's a good chance you'll see the giant bascules rise to allow tall ships and boats to pass through. Check the bridge lift schedule to plan your visit around this exciting event.
