School Holiday Honey Harvest Workshop for Kids in London

Located a short walk from London Bridge, Hiver's School Holiday Honey Harvest is a chance to get in touch with nature right in the heart of the city. The perfect interactive, hands on workshop that is both educational but mostly fun! Led by our expert Hiver Bee Team, this interactive session teaches children aged 7+ all about bees, pollination, and the honey-making process. With our Time Out awarded Top 20 London Taproom just next door, parents are welcome to to join in, relax with a pint of beer or cup of coffee, or remote work, making it the perfect activity for half term or any school holiday.

Children will get hands-on with real equipment as they uncap wax from a fresh honeycomb, taste raw honey straight from the hive, and load the frames into the spinner to extract their very own honey. Whilst the honey is spinning, kids will design their own honey jar label, as well as make a wax candle! Alongside your Honey Harvester Certificate, you'll leave with an arm full of goodies!

The session is jam packed with interesting facts but it won't feel anything like school! Children will explore natural hive by-products as well as learn about how the bee goes from egg to Queen (in some cases!) as well as highlighting other vital pollinators and what we can plant in order to help bees flourish.
