Ski Rossendale is a winter sports centre that the whole family can enjoy whatever the season, with a 200m (656ft) main slope, a Nursery slope, Freestyle Park, and a Quarter Pipe to enjoy! A variety of lessons and clubs are available for all ages and abilities, including a Kids' Club every Saturday morning.
Kids of all ages will love learning new skills and meeting new friends, while experiencing the fun of outdoor sports. The main group of the Club is suitable for kids aged between 5 to 18 years, and there is a Kindergarten group for kids aged 3 and 4 too, which is designed to get kids up to the level needed for the larger group.
This is a great opportunity for kids to learn how to stop, to control direction and speed, and how to use the lifts and equipment. All kids under 16 have to wear the helmets provided, and everyone will be fully supervised by friendly and safety conscious instructors.
There are plenty of opportunities for adults to join in with the kids, but you will need to meet the minimum standard for open practice, which includes safe use of the equipment and slope and basic control of skis or board.
Tubing Sessions are available at the weekend, which is a really enjoyable group activity that everyone will enjoy, and involves travelling down a slope on a large inflatable doughnut! For a more sedate ride, use the Nursery slope, or try the huge quarter pipe for a more exciting ride.
All equipment is provided but please ensure that the whole family is wearing long sleeved clothes and gloves.
