Your journey will begin in Bury, just 30 minutes from Manchester City Centre, and will take you through many picturesque towns and villages along the way.
Fancy spending time in the great outdoors? You can hop off at one of the calling stations - Heywood, Burrs Country Park, Summerseat, Ramsbottom, Irwell Vale and Rawtenstall, and explore fabulous nature trails in the countryside. Plus, you’ll get the chance to see magnificent vintage vehicles and interactive exhibitions at Bury Transport Museum.
East Lancashire Railway is also famous for hosting some of the best events for train enthusiasts of all ages. From Days Out With Thomas, to Santa Specials, Halloween Ghost Trains and Wizard Activity Days - there’s something to get everyone excited!
