Petersfield Pool is heated, is approx. 25m long and has a springboard and 3m deep end.
Public swimming takes place every day during the high season. Adult only sessions on Saturday and Sunday mornings and on four evenings of the week should be avoided for families.
Private lessons are available for adults and children. Group swimming lessons for children take place in the early evening and during the school holidays; these include diving and snorkelling courses.
The pool runs a swimming club for children and teenagers on Tuesday evenings. The pool is an RLSS approved site for Lifeguard Training, staff regularly carry out lifeguard training and courses are offered to the public. There is also a large barbecue for hire.
There is a toddlers' paddling pool that is filled in hot weather and hot showers and individual changing rooms plus a sheltered area for spectators during poor weather. Drinks, snacks and ice creams are for sale. Sun loungers can be hired in summer.
There are disabled facilities: an entrance ramp, shallow steps, a hoist, and a purpose built shower, changing and toilet facility.
