The Stansted Park Light Railway is a 7 1/4" gauge miniature railway is situated opposite to the Garden Centre located in the grounds of Stansted House, Rowlands Castle in Hampshire PO9 6DX
The railway will take you on a lovely circuit that will provide enjoyment for all ages. It starts from the main platform, goes up and around the old Arboretum with trees over 200 years old, past the lovely bamboo area, back through the station, past the turntable, 6 road engine shed and workshop, then over a 12 foot span girder bridge around the forest and back into the station.
The railway is run entirely by our friendly volunteers. We have 3 petrol engines, Theo, Ted & Grafter along with Nazomi a hybrid (electric/petrol) locomotive.

If you fancy making a day of it, there is an Edwardian House and Grounds of Stansted Park, with a Grade II Listed country house set on a 1800 acre estate within the South Downs National Park. There is also the well stocked Garden Centre, with cafe and toilet facilities.
Within the grounds are the following, a maze, farmshop, ice cream shop, book shop and physio-logical centre.

A delightful ride around the grounds of Stansted park
The Stansted Park Light Railway is a 7 and a quarter inch gauge miniature railway in the grounds of Stansted House in Hampshire situated opposite to the Garden Centre.
The railway runs through the Arboretum, past a 12 foot span girder bridge and a 3 platform station. There is also a 6 road engine shed and workshop, plus a turntable. The railway will take you on a lovely circuit that will provide enjoyment for all ages.

We have added attractions within the grounds and free parking
Within the grounds there is a Garden Centre and its facilities, including a cafe and toilets. Also a farm shop, secondhand book shop, a maze and of course the wonderful grounds.
