Fair Maids House Visitor and Information Centre is fantastic if you have an enquiring mind and want answers to questions like “which countries make mobile phones?” or “Where are the hottest and coldest places on the earth?”. You can watch the planet from space in the Earth room and see the continents evolve in the Education room, which is also where you can find out about the hottest and coldest countries. You can check out maps or curl up with a book in the Explorer's room. This centre is unique in the whole of Britain and is a really big project that uses some of the latest audiovisual technology to show you all about our planet. Explore the world through books, maps and images and with the help of the friendly staff, who are happy to answer any questions you may have. This is a really fascinating place with plenty of exhibits and artefacts to discover so there is something for everyone.
