"We had a fabulous time camping at Lee Abbey, along the coast in Devon. The girls enjoyed the beach, a day trip to Exmoor Zoo and sledging down hills in cardboard boxes! Lots of goats and sheep wandering about the grounds, too :) The Zoo itself was fab and has an adventure playgrpund, which helped to break up the walking. After our packed lunch and refueling, we kept going. We were there about 4 hours! Lots of animals to see and a walk through aviary with the cutest little turtles." ...read more.

By Car

The zoo is on the A399, halfway between Combe Martin and South Molton. From the A361, it’s 10 miles on the left. Follow the brown signs to a lane, then drive 1/4 mile to the zoo.

By Train

The nearest train station to the zoo is Barnstaple. You'll have to get the bus or taxi to the zoo from the station.

By Bus

You can take the A310 from Barnstaple to Lynton. Tell the driver you wish to visit the zoo, and they will drop you on the A399 at the turning.
