The super modern play area, designed by well known play area manufacturer Kompan, has replaced the teeny older playground which was close to the Hadleigh Road entrance to the park, and is now very much open, new and improved!
There is quite a bit for older children including a zip wire, plus rope and trampoline climbing structure! Toddlers and younger children have plenty of swings, slides and roundabouts to choose from in an enclosed area too. So plenty for all ages!
Summer holidays and other seasonal occasions see open activities held by the wildlife rangers, where kids can get a bit of extra fun and learn some nature facts. For older types or those with relevant school topics they also regularly offer talks on the history of Chantry Mansion and Park. These are usually held in the Walled Garden.
There are a few picnic tables and toilets near by so it's easy to make yourselves at home and all this in a really beautiful park with lovely walks and views and plenty of areas to explore such as the formal gardens, woods and wildlife areas. Excellent for a peaceful day of family exploration.
