Sutton Hoo is home to one of the most important archaeological discoveries of all time. Discover tales of mysterious mounds and buried treasure, dress up like an archaeologist - or a king - and find out what life was like for the Anglo-Saxons centuries ago.
Inside Tranmer House, you can find out what it's really like to be an archaeologist on the eve of a discovery, make your own models in the Discovery Room and travel back in time to the 1930s, with our archive of images from the world-famous dig.

Immerse yourself in nature, look out for birds and beasties and even build your very own Anglo-Saxon den as you explore the estate - and don't forget to climb to the top of the 17m viewing tower, where you can get a bird's eye view over the historic Burial Ground.
