Most paths are flat and wide, tricky paths are marked with signs and alternative routes are available.

The nature reserve side has rougher paths, but all are flat and wide. Most visitors with pushchairs and buggies find them to be easy to use.

Unfortunately we can't allow dogs or pets of any kind on site, with the exception of trained assistance dogs, as our wildlife may become distressed. Trained assistance dogs are welcome but must be kept on their fixed harness and under control at all times.

The cafe is open every day from 10 am - 4 pm.

Guests are very welcome to bring their own food and drink when they visit, and we have comfy indoor seating and tables available.

We also have plenty of picnic areas and seating around the reserve and collection areas, just please remember to put any rubbish in the bins provided and not to share your picnic with the wildlife.

Most of our site is accessible to visitors in wheelchairs, with wide and flat paths, and most of our hides are step-free. Wherever we are in doubt, we have signage.

There are a few paths on the nature reserve that are difficult to propel yourself along, and they can also be tricky to push someone along. Where possible we give alternative routes.

The collection side has smoother paths, and all of them are wide and flat. When we have flooding or a lot of rain, the team mark the problem areas and give an alternative route wherever possible.

We have a wheelchair that you can borrow for your visit at no cost. Please call ahead to check availability and reserve the chair.

We also offer a mobility scooter for hire on the collection side. It costs £10 for the day, with a £20 deposit that you'll get back when you return the scooter. Please note that there is a user weight limit of 20 stone (127 kg) for the mobility scooter. Please call ahead of your visit to check availability and reserve the scooter.
