Attraction Information

Margam Country Park has 1000 acres of countryside with a castle, orangery, deer park, visitors' centre, lake, narrow gauge train, farm trail, Fairytale Village and adventure playground to keep you busy!

Kids between 6 and 12 years old will love the Adventure Playground with its castle theme, sky run and elevated walkway! The Farm Trail gives you all the chance to see cows, ponies, sheep and other farm animals as well as pet the rabbits! And, Fairytale Village contains child size cottages where the likes of Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty and Goldilocks live.

You can also use a smart phone or MP3 player to link into the Catch The Echoes feature, an imaginative sound installation allowing you to hear other visitors long gone, with 8 differing audio files covering between 1181 and 2012! And the Margam Activity Centre also on site currently offers Kayaking, Canoeing, Archery, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Raft Building, Mountain Biking and Nordic Walking, all for over 7's. When you get hungry, there are picnic tables near the house as well as a gift shop and tearoom that might tempt you too!
