Attraction Information
Afan Forest Park offers a great open space for all things cycle-able, base yourself at the visitor centre to go hiking, mountain biking, or an old fashioned woodland adventure. Take bears or other toys to hide! There's plenty of potential for a variety of active family fun!
The Visitor Centre is the starting point for the ‘Penhydd' and ‘Y Wâl' mountain bike trails, 9 circular walks, a family puzzle trail, a 26 point orienteering course and access to bridle paths. So it's the perfect starting point for your visit and you can get advice on any mobility issues or have any questions answered and use the facilities.
For a more leisurely view of the area you can take an entertaining Forest Safari and skim the whole thing by 4x4! It's an excellent alternative if you've got small or wobbly legs along, but it's also a treat for kids who of course love zooming along!
Then if you want something different altogether you can actually finish off your day with a whole other variety of activities such as clay pigeon shooting, quad biking or paint balling! There is loads to do here, with it simple and enjoyable to string 2 or 3 activities after one another, separated by picnics!
