Enjoy three miles of sandy shores and crystal clear water where you can do all your favourite beach activities - from swimming and playing with a beach ball, to building sandcastles and topping up your tan. Your kids love stories about pirates and adventurers? Here’s something exciting - at low tide, you can see the remains of a 19th-century shipwreck from the beach! Feeling adventurous yourself? Cross the rocky causeway to the tidal island of Worms Head, where you can spot grey seals.
Up for a bit of exploring? Overlooking the beach is Old Rectory, the most popular National Trust holiday cottage, so why not pay it a visit while you’re there. Love photography? Venture to Rhossili Down, the highest point on Gower for stunning views across the sea, all the way to West Wales, Lundy Island and the north Devon coast.
