Go Ape Margam
Port Talbot, Glamorgan and CardiffAbout Go Ape Margam
What do you picture when dreaming of a weekend away in a manor house? Probably not zooming down zip wires or dropping from six-metre-high platforms! Go Ape Margam teams historic grounds with high-ropes for a family adventure and outdoor activities like no other. But it's not just treetop adventures on the cards, families can check out cycling trails, soak up breathtaking views and even crack out a forest BBQ!
Fun Activities for Thrill Seekers
Being Wales' only Treetop Challenge, it's definitely a family favourite! As well as 39 thrilling crossings - including bridges, tunnels and more - have a go at the UK’s biggest Tarzan Swings. It’s a real leap of faith as you hook yourself in, take a deep breath and drop a giant six metres.
The course takes around two to three hours to navigate. At the end of the course, you'll finish with a bang on 180m forest ziplines. It's definitely a high-wire adventure for thrill seekers! So, are you up for it? Once you’re up in the trees you’ll have a cracking view of Margam Country Park and 1,000 acres of parkland. Look out across the lake, up to the Manor House and see if you can spot any of the local residents: the largest deer herd in Wales! It’s quite a thrill when you manage to catch a glimpse of some as they dash across the hillside. Did you know that Go Ape Margam is the only location that offers sea views?!
And if you're still looking for outdoor activities, go on a perfect two-wheeled adventure and head to the cycling trails, or head out on foot for some walking trails. So, whether you're looking for an aerial adventure for adults or those who are looking for an unforgettable experience - you'll find it at Go Ape Margam a truly amazing location!
Food & Drink
The high-ropes adventures have left you feeling pretty hungry, so what are your options? Well, at Go Ape Margam Country Park you can rest up in the onsite cafe and munch away on hot meals and snacks. If you've spent a good 2-3 hours outside and you aren't feeling like heading back indoors anytime soon then the picnic area is the perfect place for you. Eat your own packed lunches while absorbing the beautiful sea views.
