Attraction Information
Gnoll Estate Country Park is set amongst 240 acres of woodland and wide open spaces plus it's got an adventure playground for older types and a simple children's playground for smaller ones, and there are a variety of picnic spots and benches set about the parkland.
There's a fun little 9 hole pitch and putt golf course (not to be confused with crazy or mini golf: this is real golf just putting only) plus you can try your hand (and legs!) at orienteering or geocaching. Other activities include fishing ponds.
Features to look out for on your family ramble include 4 large duck ponds and the 2 impressive 18th century cascades which are like a step style man made waterfall leading down from the Grotto and the Gazebo. Plus there's also the Gnoll House ruins which include an ice house, ha ha, remnants of formal gardens, the shell of The Ivy Tower and the Fish pond House. None of these are explorable sadly but they're fun for kids to spot and interesting to wander around the exterior of.
