The Blue Pool at Furzebrook is a natural water feature which constantly varies in colour. Very fine clay in suspension in the water diffracts light in different ways, producing a spectrum of colour sometimes green sometimes turquoise. There's no entry to the pool, it's just for viewing.
Elsewhere on site there are 3 children's play areas. They can also hunt for model squirrels in the trees (parents get involved too!), when they have finished the hunt they can collect a certificate from the Museum.
Also now home to The Wareham Bears, a collection of 200+ miniature dressed bears set within their own house, stables and other environments.

Great for kids 5 out of 5 stars
Had a great day today at blue pool spent 3 hours there, four adults and 2 children one 3 and one 5 years old. They both loved the fairy door and squirrel trail as well as the play areas. We had a picnic but did use the cafe for hot drinks and ice cream which was reasonably priced. Would recommend.Anonymous

Gorgeous calming peaceful place. Even subdued my boisterous 10 year old. I asked him for a review he said.....The pool was so blue!!!Anonymous
