About The Blue Pool

The Blue Pool Nature Reserve & Tearooms is a great day out for families all year round. Nestled in the stunning Furzebrook Estate, just a 10 minute drive from Wareham on the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. This historic gem offers 30 acres of beautiful woodland and nature trails to explore.

One of the most exciting highlights is the UK’s longest rope bridge, spanning 50 metres set high amongst the trees, a fun experience for kids and brave grown-ups - hold on tight!

Children will love the play area with swings, climbing frames and balance beams, and the new Trail of Enchanted Doors - launching May half term! Pick up an activity sheet when you arrive and head out on the trail in search of tiny hand crafted doors. Discover the magical characters the doors belong to, count the acorns on each one, then head to the gift shop to get your certificate stamped by the friendly team.

Home to the UKs longest rope bridge

We're home to the UK's longest rope bridge, spanning an impressive 50 metres.

As part of our general admission tickets, we invite you to experience the thrill of crossing the rope bridge suspended high amidst the trees. The bridge offers a unique opportunity to traverse through our stunning landscape and witness a fresh ‘tree-top’ perspective of the nature reserve.

Fun for little explorers

Children will love searching for tiny doors along the woodland trail, which leads to a fun-filled natural play area where they can enjoy balance beams, climbing structures, and swings.

On a sunny day, enjoy a treat from the ice cream parlour.
