Whitecliff Play Area
Poole, DorsetAbout Whitecliff Play Area
The equipment at Whitecliff Play Area is designed for children of all ages and features arguably the largest and most expensive bit of play equipment in Poole: the awesome 6m high Multi Activity Tower! This majestic wooden unit boasts numerous exciting play features including 3 slick slides of different lengths, including a wavy one! Plus various elements are linked by monkey bars, 2 wobbly ravine bridges and a long plank bridge. Then there's a rope ladder, a vertical scramble net, an arched climber, fireman's poles and play panels: something to challenge and excite all age groups and great for gross motor skills.
For younger users, a way cool helicopter features climbing, sliding and role play, and charmingly reflects the character of the region as host to the air ambulance landing area. A large space for sand play has also been installed with neat log edging to retain the sand however wild they get; inside are mini sand diggers and a role-play boat for toddlers so even if you don't have a bucket and spade along you can seriously interact with some matter.
Protection from the sun, wind or rain is supplied by a large roof on the central tower which incorporates decks at various levels (the highest is a whopping 3m) and a cool multi directional viewing mirror: if you stand beneath it, look up and you'll be able to see the surrounding area reflected in 4 mirrored panels - the best hide and seek or what!?
