Attraction Information
Poole Museum gives you and the kids a great opportunity to discover the colourful history of this ancient port town and the people who lived there.
The recently extended and redisplayed museum has four floors of archaeology, art and social history, with plenty of activities for all, to teach you about the amazing environment of Poole Harbour. The museum also has a terrace that give you a stunning view of the harbour.
Adults may be glad to know that as well as having lots of activities to keep the kids happy, there is also adult focused information and well chosen objects on display, especially in the section on living in Poole. So there is something for everyone, including an old steam fire engine and a bronze age boat.
During August, you can also visit the Medieval Scaplen's Court Museum and between May and September, you can also visit its tranquil herb garden.
